Justen Ahren, a poet and writing coach, is the founder and director of Noepe Center for Literary Arts, a nonprofit organization on Martha’s Vineyard that promotes engagement in the literary arts.

Nancy Aronie is a writing instructor and founder of the Chilmark Writing Workshop, which she began over 25 years ago.

Geraldine Brooks is a Pulitzer Prize winning novelist, known for her impeccably researched historical fiction including Marchand People of the Book. The Secret Chord, a novel about the life of King David, will be published this fall.

Dawn Davis is the publisher of 37 Ink, an imprint within the Atria Publishing Group of Simon & Schuster, which publishes books from an array of cultures and viewpoints.

David Dince, a life-long sports fanatic, is an attorney and the head of Gordon & Silber's medical malpractice practice group.

Jeffrey Fager is the former Chairman of CBS News and the current Executive Producer of 60 Minutes, the hour-long CBS news magazine created in 1968.

George Gibson is the publisher of Bloomsbury USA responsible for the acquisition and publication of all books in the adult division of Bloomsbury USA.

Marcy Gringlas is president of Seed the Dream Foundation, a family foundation whose mission includes promoting programs that apply lessons learned from the Holocaust to combat anti-Semitism and promote tolerance.

Matt Hobart is a boat builder at the Gannon and Benjamin Marine Railway in Vineyard Haven, a boatyard devoted to building and restoring wooden sailboats. 

Jeremy Hobson is the co-host of National Public Radio’s Here & Now, WBUR’s nationally syndicated news show.

Tony Horwitz is a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter and bestselling non-fiction author. Among his books are Confederates in the Attic and Midnight Rising.

Charlayne Hunter-Gault is an award-winning journalist and author of four books. Most recently she was CNN’s Johannesburg bureau chief and correspondent.

Alex S Jones is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and recently retired as director of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

John Kennedy was an editor and reporter for the Boston Globe and is now a contributor to the Vineyard Gazette and a lecturer at Boston University.

Beth Kramer is the director of the West Tisbury Free Public Library.

John Maloney is a Chilmark poet and author of two books, Proposal and Town of Chilmark.

Joan Nathan is the author of ten cookbooks including her most recent, Quiches, Kugels and Couscous: My Search for Jewish Cooking in France. Her renowned, Jewish Cooking in America won the James Beard Award for the best American cookbook.

Robert “Bob” Nixon is an Academy Award nominated filmmaker and conservationist. 

Mary Beth Norton is an author, editor, American historian and professor of American History at Cornell University.

Paul Osterman is a professor of human resources and management at the MIT Sloan School of Management. His most recent book is Good Jobs America: Making Work Better for Everyone.

Kitty Pilgrim, a former CNN anchor and correspondent, is the author of popular fiction thrillers, including The Explorer’s Codeand her latest book, Summer of Fire.

David Schulte is the managing general partner and head of the advisory services of Chilmark Partners, a firm that he founded in 1984.  

Jane Seagrave is the publisher of the Vineyard Gazette, and previously was senior vice president for the Associated Press.

Sylvia Storey received her BA and MA degrees from Stanford University in physical education in 1945 and 1946, respectively, and went on to teach physical education at the high school and college levels.  

Patricia Sullivan is professor of history at the University of South Carolina whose books include Lift Every Voice: The NAACP and the Making of the Civil Rights Movement.

Amor Towles is the author of New York Times bestseller, Rules of Civility, and previously worked as an investment banker in New York.

Kirstin Uhrenholdt grew up on a Danish fruit farm. She is a chef and developed the recipes for The Family Cooks and The Family Dinner.

Elizabeth Weinstock, a former staff member of the New Yorker, is a writer/journalist and the author of a memoir-biography of Albert Camus, Camus, A Romance.
