About the Moderator

Richard Bensinger is the former Organizing Director of the national AFL-CIO and the United Auto Workers, and the founder of the AFL-CIO Organizing Institute, which prioritized recruiting women, people of color, and young people into the labor movement. He currently works with Workers United, where he helped launch the Starbucks campaign in Buffalo, NY, and he teaches organizing at the Inside Organizer School.
