Volunteering for the MV Book Festival
and Author Series

The Martha’s Vineyard Book Festival and Author Series are made possible by hundreds of dedicated volunteers each year. The passion, drive and positivity of the festival’s volunteer community is inspiring—dozens of community members donating their time and gathering together for a common purpose. If you love books and being a part of a team, you are a perfect fit to be part of our volunteer community. For the 2025 MV Book Festival over 100 volunteers worked tirelessly to make the festival a resounding success.

For the 2026 MV Author Series, we are looking for volunteers to greet attendees, check in sponsors and guests, manage ticket and book sales, usher guests, distribute books, assist with book signings, direct traffic and much more. Please read the specific criteria below and use the application link to Iet us know if you are interested in volunteering next summer.

All volunteers must:

• be at least 16 years of age

• commit to at least one 2-3 hour shift

• attend a training session in advance of their scheduled event.
