Maria Sacchetti
Maria Sacchetti is a national immigration reporter at The Washington Post, where she has broken major stories on child–parent separations at the U.S.–Mexico border and the secret inner workings of U.S. deportation systems. She previously worked at The Boston Globe, where her reporting helped free detained immigrants and earned national recognition. Sacchetti was part of the Globe team that won a Pulitzer Prize for its Boston Marathon bombing coverage. She has reported from Latin America, Europe, and the Caribbean on immigration and human rights. She holds degrees from UMass Amherst and the University of Texas.
