About the Interviewer

Michele Norris is one of the most trusted voices in journalism.  She is a senior contributing editor for MSNBC, a member of the Peabody Awards Board of Directors and an award-winning storyteller across several platforms. Norris is the author of the New York Times bestselling book, Our Hidden Conversations: What Americans Really Think About Race and Identity and of her family memoir, The Grace of Silence. She is the host of the podcast, Your Mama’s Kitchen, produced by Higher Ground Studios. 

Norris is the recipient of the 2026 Career Achievement Award from the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press for her extraordinary contributions to journalism and free expression. She has worked as a columnist for The Washington Post Opinion Section and her voice will be familiar to followers of public radio, where from 2002 to 2012 she was a host of NPR’s afternoon magazine show, All Things Considered.
